£250 million to boost business investment in skills â€" prospectus

13/02/2012

Businesses in England will be given direct access to up to £250 million of public investment to work in partnership with providers and their employees and boost Apprenticeships and other vocational training. The programme is being led by BIS, in partnership with DfE, the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, the Skills Funding Agency and the National Apprenticeship Service.

A prospectus of the Employer Ownership Pilot Investment Fund is now available. An application form and supporting guidance will be published on the website in mid-February.  This is an exciting new opportunity for employers in partnership with other employers, providers and employees to come forward with approaches that will develop the workforce and support business growth in their sectors. If employers are  interested they should attend one of the nine briefing events being held across England.
